Tributes to the Animals of AnimaLovers

Sully

My 20-year-old cat Q-tip was getting pretty old. I went to PetSmart to find a companion for my second cat Blue so when my Q-tip wasn’t with me any longer Blue would have a friend. There he was, a cream colored cat with blue eyes. His story was so sad. His owner passed away and her neighbors were caring for him. They brought him to AnimaLovers to find a good home. After spending some time with him at PetSmart we brought Sully home and he fit right in. He’s a loving little guy. The funny part is my older cat loves him! I’m so glad we brought him home with us. I can’t imagine my life with out him in it!!

Willy

"One-Eyed-Willy" was a stray that adopted a young family. Used to living outside and showing scars from frequent tangles with the outside world, Willy "wasn't the cleanest of cats." The family did their best for Willy-providing him food and shelter; but, after a particularly tough time last winter, Willy was not looking good.

Thanks to your donations, AnimaLovers was able to help him by providing funds to pay a vet to check his wounds, give him his shots, and get him neutered.

His "mom" wrote, "When we picked him up [from the vet], he looked like a new cat. Bright, clean, orange fur, treated wounds, and very happy to see us...My eyes watered up as I realized I was taking a healthy Willy back to our home."

Max

Max

Little Max never lived to have a first birthday. Yet, who knew that such a “little bit” could leave such a legacy? Click here to read his story.

Patch and Her Kittens

These totally adorable kittens are offspring of one of Albany's most notorious feral cats Patch. For three years, a group of women who have pledged most of their free time to help the feral cat colonies of Albany worked fervently to try to capture and neuter Patch. In the end, Patch reached out to these women to save her four kittens. Click here to read this wonderful story, written by one of AnimaLovers' very active volunteers Veronica Lyons. This story is a tribute to animals and humans who are truly special!
