The cats listed here are only some of the AnimaLovers animals waiting for adoption. You can visit our cat clinics in the East Greenbush PetSmart. We look forward to seeing you there! Click here for directions. Our hours are:

Our trained volunteers will be happy to acquaint you with our cats, answer your questions, and complete adoptions.

Jeb—I'm a small, Persian-mix.
My story started out very sadly. I was in a shelter and very sick. The shelter thought I had an upper respiratory infection....but what I really had was a hernia. There I wasn't going to get better - in fact, I was going to die. Lucky for me AnimaLovers stepped in!! I had surgery and now I'm completely fine! Well, except my beautiful hair is still growing back - but otherwise the vet gave me a clean bill of health.small, handsome Persian mix and about a year old.
In my foster home I am much loved. I play with the other cats and dogs and I'm great with the kids...and I cuddle and snuggle with mom and dad. They say I'm an AWESOME cat - low maintenance and laid back and very friendly. They say someone will be very lucky to have me. Could that lucky someone be you? Nate is a large, one-year-old that was rescued from the streets. He is quite mellow and likes to hang out with his people. He's also fine with cats and dogs. Top of Page
Gino—One cool cat!
Gino is probably the coolest cat you'll ever meet - he's unflappable and completely laid back. And, he's very loving. He is in a foster home with cats and 2 medium sized dogs and gets along with everyone. He's extremely handsome (one of those gorgeous, sleek black kitties) and ready to move to a permanent home where he share his affection. Angelica—Beautiful calico!
Angelica is such a beautiful cat - she can give you a look that will melt your heart. She loves to be petted and is sweet and affectionate. She took a little time to feel comfortable in her new foster home (with her history - she is one of the many Orange Street Hoarder Cats - that's understandable) but now that she feels safe, she's playing, enjoying the company of human, feline and canine friends and anxious for a home of her own. Mason—I'm a laid-back guy!
Mason is a great cat - a really laid-back charmer. He likes to lie around and watch the action. He will flip over and over and get his belly rubbed. He's very friendly, affectionate and loves everyone - people, cats and dogs! This super handsome guy is just waiting for the perfect family. Frederick—You have dogs?? Yup, I like them!!
This incredibly handsome boy is also incredibly friendly and affectionate. Frederick is a lap cat who adores humans (he'll wrap his paws around your need for "hugs"), cats (he loves to play!) and dogs (he actually cleans the faces of the dogs in his foster home). Blaire—I'm so happy AnimaLovers found me a home!
Blair is a beautiful, tiny calico girl who is so sweet and friendly. She came from a terrible hoarding situation and it took her a little time to feel safe (small wonder!). But Blair is resilient too ...and she quickly realized the humans in her new situation were gentle and loving....and she wanted to enjoy every bit of that! Jayce—I have one blue eye and one green eye—quite handsome, I'd say!
This darling little five-month-old boy is cute as they come. All white with one blue eye and one green eye, he is super nice, friendly, playful, affectionate...all the things you look for in a kitten. He LOVES the other cats and loves people, too. Scotty—I am one charming dude!
This is one terrific cat!! Scotty was lost or abandoned and turned up at someone's back door looking for food and attention. AnimaLovers got the call to help him find a permanent home...and we're so glad we did. Scotty is wonderful! He was immediately whisked away to the vet where he charmed the vets and techs. He rubbed up against the volunteers and then curled up in a lap for a little snooze. He is incredibly gentle, friendly and social. Monty—a little bundle of joy!
Monty is a 3-month-old bundle of joy. He came strutting out of the woods to a woman's back door. No one knows his history but his was thin and hungry - but anxious to play and get into a home of his own. What a cutie! Julia—A tiny love bug!
Julia is a total love bug - and a lap cat! This tiny (she's quite small and about a year old) bundle of fur will come running to you when you call and jump into your lap. She is very friendly and social with people and great with the other cats in her foster home. She's playful, she loves to wrestle and play chase with the other cats but is also content batting around balls and mice. In fact, she's a total joy! Mario—I have a personality that will make you smile!
Mario is "the man"! He's friendly, social, playful, curious and cute as can be. He likes to hang out with his foster siblings and desperately wants a loving home and a family of his own. Mario is two years old - the perfect age. He's a little mellower than a kitten but still frisky and lots of fun. He has gorgeous green eyes and a personality that will make you smile. Missy—I'm good with cats—oh, and also people!
Missy is a two-year-old sweetheart of a cat. She lost her home when she had kittens (how awful!) - but was a wonderful mother and raised them beautifully and was even a surrogate mom to some other kittens. She's very mellow and easy going but now that her "mom duty" is over, she'd love to play, get lots of attention and most of all, have a wonderful home of her own. Sheila—It's true—I like to walk on a leash!
Sheila came to us after her owner died. She had lived with so many cats for her entire life that she didn't know quite what to think of a home with one dog and just a couple of cats. She seemed almost over-whelmed (in reverse!). Now she has been spayed and is adjusting to a normal life. Sheila is a tiny thing (only about 6 pounds) with a beautiful glossy black coat. The vets estimate she is about five years old and very friendly with her foster mom and starting to enjoy life with the other animals. She is good on a leash and harness (her smart foster mom used that technique to get her accustomed to the new animals in her foster home), and she likes it! She even grabs it with her paws when she wants to go for a walk! Please consider giving Sheila a home; she deserves a fresh start. She would adore being an only pet and would shower her humans with love - but she'd also be ok with a cat-friendly dog and another cat or two. For more information on Sheila, call 448-5468. Slim—I'm super friendly!!
I’m a super-friendly, affectionate, outgoing boy who loves the cats in my foster home and is OK with dogs, too. I snuggle with my foster mom on the couch and follow her from room to room to keep her company. I love to sleep next to her in bed at night!! I really like to be petted and will purr as long as you pet me. I’m also VERY playful and love to run with my foster siblings or chase after my toys. I need to go to a home with another cat that will let me play with him or her – I have way too much energy if I’m by myself!! I’m also nosy and will find things to play with if you don’t provide them for me. Although I’m OK with being picked up, I don’t like it for long; I’m too busy to stay in your arms!! I haven’t been around kids, but should be fine with them as long as they know I’ll be wiggly if they pick me up and want to get down. I have a great appetite and am not a picky eater. Rugby—I'm special!
I’ve been looking, but just haven’t found the right people for me. Could you be my forever foster? I’m a great cat who has one special need: I take medicine every day for a heart condition that will shorten my life. The good news is that it doesn’t affect my behavior at all…and I love my medicine (it’s fish flavored…those smart veterinarians, always thinking!)
